Yesterday we collectively recognized our planet (Happy Day to you!) within Earth Month, but here at Ecopiggy we like to keep the love going year round! Our team celebrates Mama Earth everyday, feeling grateful for all the natural beauty she shares.
As you know, Ecopiggy is always striving to provide you and your families with safe, reusable products that are kind to nature. We want to help you take mindful steps towards a waste-free lifestyle and reduce our reliance on plastics and other toxic materials.
This week, the Ecopiggy team invites you to participate in what we are calling “ECO-Inspirations” – small steps that you and your family can take to form new habits around eco-living. These individual steps on a household level will contribute to big change in the long run, and we find that inspiring!
Love is in the air! We’re soon approaching Valentines Day, which in this country typically brings to mind the gifting of red roses, chocolate (in any form!) and romantic cards. Here at ecopiggy, we take this holiday less seriously as we believe that love should be sprinkled throughout the year, in unexpected ways! We enjoy surprising each other with nourishing treats, homemade body products, candles, crafts and lots of gratitude! It’s all about the act of giving freely and lighting up others’ lives.
You may be wondering who’s behind the Ecopiggy brand that makes and distributes your favorite children’s products? It’s time to introduce you to our small and mighty team of five women! Together, we’re shaping a new generation of healthy, happy piggies…one binky at a time.
Plastic bottles, bags, to-go containers, and many other products designed for one time use last forever. These plastics break “up” instead of down, becoming a permanent pollutant. With a shockingly low rate of recycling (only 9%!), most are sent to a landfill where they remain, while more is littered, and even more end up in the ocean. Scientists predict that by 2050, there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish. Every bit of plastic ever made still exists, and in the first 10 years of this, the 21st century, produced more plastic than the entirety of the 20th century.
Join the #plasticfreeJULY initiative, help us reduce our collective eco-footprint, and save the ocean!
