Craft Time:: Spider Crown
Today we have a fun October craft, Spider Crowns!
What you will need:
- Large Black Spiders
- Black Floral Wire
- Hot Glue Gun
- Wire Snippers
- Black Tape
My daughter always decides early what she wants to be for Halloween, and she sticks with the idea. Her brother will change his mind at least ten times. Last Halloween he wore three different costumes throughout the day. I love that they each have their own way. This year Ella wants to be a Halloween Princess. Hence, it is only appropriate to have a spider crown.
Ready to get creating? First, measure the circumference of head, and cut wire a couple inches longer. Use your black tape to connect the ends, forming a round circle.
Next, line up the spiders’ back legs around the outside of wire, to determine the number of spiders that you will need to use. Next, start gluing the back legs onto the wire. You can use black gluesticks, however Ella made the declaration that we should “use what we have”. Love her!
Once the back legs are glued on, reinforce the spiders by gluing together some of the upper legs that crisscross. Let it all dry…and then have some spooky spider fun!
